There’s plenty of tech out there to help you find your fertile window, but really, you don’t need much. Some basic instruction, a thermometer, and a chart will give you the information you need. Charting will also help you spot cycle issues you can discuss with your doctor if needed.

Sensiplan Basic Course

Learn to track your cycle and avoid pregnancy without the use of hormonal birth control or barrier methods. The course includes 4 lessons and 1 extra meet-up after you’ve been charting for half a year.

Lesson 1

We’ll go over the biology behind fertility, which will help you understand why this method is effective. Then I’ll explain how you can track your fertility signs and fill in your own chart.

Lesson 2

You’ve had some time to get used to paying attention to your body and keep track of the changes. Now you’ll start learning to interpret what’s happening and determine your fertile window.

Lesson 3

How are things going? Are you comfortable with the method so far? Or do you need some more practice? We’ll talk about things that can interfere with interpreting your fertility signs, expand the fertile window if you’re ready, and learn about another way to check for an approaching ovulation.

Lesson 4

By now, you’ve been tracking your cycles for about 3 months and it’s becoming a normal part of everyday life. In this lesson, we’ll reflect on what you’ve learned and how different life phases can change your cycle. You’ll have space to talk about how cycle tracking fits into relationships, and you’ll learn how to use the information from your chart to get pregnant.

6 Month Refresh

It’s been 6 months since our last meet-up. This is the perfect time to ask any questions that have come up and look at the charts you’ve made together. We’ll also do some exercises to refresh what you’ve learned during the course.

Sensiplan Breastfeeding

The rules for sensiplan® change during breastfeeding. Since ovulation is naturally suppressed by the hormones produced every time you breastfeed, you won’t see the cycle patterns you’ve become familiar with. That’s why we have a special chart and reader for this phase of your life. During a 1,5 hour lesson, I’ll explain how to apply your prior knowledge to interpret your fertile signs during this time.

Educators

I’m trained by NFP-Nederland, the Dutch branch overseeing certification and ongoing training for educators. They have their own website with a list of local instructors. Online sessions are often possible, so make sure to check with your chosen educator.
